Friends of The Cluh, VA’s own, Clipse have released the music video for their song “Kinda Like A Big Deal” featuring Kanye West and produced by DJ Khalil off their upcoming album “Till The Casket Drops.” It’s a good video and the song goes hizard.

When first viewing William Rutherfoord‘s art you might not expect him to be from a religious background, a son of a preacher, or even “faith-obsessed.” Hell, some of his work, at first glance, may make a religious individual think it’s the work of the devil! But, of course, it’s not. According to the article/interview from artnewyork.com posted on the press section of his website, williamhrutherfoord.com, it says Mr. Rutherfoord was born in New York City in 1950 and grew up all around the south as his father was a clergyman and that he received a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and his Masters degree in Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. The article also states that his work has been in the Art Papers, The Oxford American Review and Noticias de Art and that “he is (also an) Adjunct Assistant Professor of Art at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia where he teaches drawing and lectures on contemporary art.” He’s currently living in Roanoke, Virginia with his wife and fellow artist, Beth Shively.
Not to hint at any doubt in the combination of age with regards to contemporary/street-esque art, I believe he’s the dopest 59 year old artist I know. Check out his website and read the press section for more insight on his background and the background of the work showcased on the site.
