Directed and animated by Anthony Francisco Schepperd. The visuals remind me of the animated MTV/Nickelodeon commercial bumpers from the 1990′s.

The music from this album has been available for about a year now, but due to some legal road-bumps, hasen’t seen an official release until last month. In that time the lead artist of Sparklehorse, Virginia-born Mark Linkous committed suicide in Memphis– he was 47.

I’ve always loved the soundtrack from the 1972 animated feature Fritz The Cat (based of the comic by Robert Crumb.) The film was the first animation to receive an X rating. The entire film can be watched in 10 minute increments via YouTube.
